  2. That's technology for you, these kind of things happen, but it's never stopped you or kept you down before. Why let it now?

The French often say "c'est la vie." (that's life). I bet they have an idiom, in Chinese for this, ask your homestay parents, what it is. Do this today, you'll feel much better about this, because you will be turning this disaster around, creating another opportunity to once again learn something new, from your disappointments. Your long blog entry that unfortunately did not save, becomes a wonderful learning experience rather than an angry wasted mistake.

You need to remember, you are doing great in China. You are not acknowledging everything that is going so well for you. Your spoken language skills are probably one of the best in the program for a non-native speaker, who has no one back home speaking Chinese to you.

Last night, Dael said "it is very exhausting speaking your non-native language all day and night. They certainly must feel John is up to the challenge by placing him in that homestay, and he is going to get more out of the program than many others."

John, please try to remember to not take things/everything so seriously. Actually, you need to try and be alittle more like your brother,-- try enjoying yourself, have fun, try your best, but RELAX and take in the scenery.

If things don't go the way you want, acknowledge it, move on by saying that's okay, it's all part of the learning process.

Also, it could be worse, at least you did not lose everything on your hard drive, you still have a computer to use and works in China.

Everything in the end, will be okay. You will be back home in less than 4 weeks and you probably then will be missing China.

When you are rested tommorrow, try writing again on your blog. You will feel better. The sun will come up again tommorrow.

Don't ever give up! Fight on...

    I Love You.

  3. Dearest John,
Bill and I loved talking with you on slype. We just finished reading your conversation with Mark on your blog while you were at the EXPO. It was almost like reading a script for a play or movie about two people talking. It left lots in our imagination!!!! So it was innovative and and lovely in our minds eye….. For yourself, reading it later on I think you will find it most enjoyable too.
John don’t give up writing in your blog: Even if only one sentence, years from know you will be happy to look back.
    Love lots Nana
